I graduated from the Technical University in Munich with a Masters degree (both M. Sc. and Dipl.-Ing.), worked as Head of Workshops Electrics/Electronics for the Metro Munich and as Head of Technical Service for Railpool. I currently live in Oslo, Norway.

  • Responsible ECM2 for 300+ electrical locomotives @Railpool GmbH, one of the biggest full-service leasing companies in Europe.
  • Responsible for all electrical maintenance and repairs of components for the metro Munich (400 coaches).

Homologation

  • Collaboration with NSAs in Norway, Sweden and Germany, the European Railway Agency as well as NoBos, DeBos, AsBos and manufacturers in order to ensure continuous operation across Europe.
  • Design and introduction of a database to keep track of the homolagtion status of 300+ locomotives in 14 countries.
  • Maintenance of several national vehicle registers as well as the EVR (European Vehicle Register).

Management

  • 10+ years experience as manager.
  • Setup of ECM-Organisation for growth.
  • Improvement of ECM-Processes and successfull audits as ECM according to 2019/779.
  • Introduction of new vehicle types into the maintenance organisation.
  • Technical specification of product requirements for the purchase of new locomotives.

Engineering and digitalization Projects:

  • Failure analysis on electrical locomotives and coaches and shift from corrective to preventive maintenance.
  • Specification and introduction of big-data analysis of diagnostic data.
  • Digitalization of maintenance protocols.
  • Development of a Hardware-in-the-Loop test bench for BCUs (Brake Control Units).
  • Plannning and commissioning of a high-voltage test field for auxiliary converters.
  • Specification and introduction of a content management system for multilingual maintenance documentation.
  • Several smaller electronics projects including Microcontrollers as Arduino or Raspberry PI as well as programming in PHP, SQL, JavaScript, C#, Python and MATLAB.
